Thank you so much for your astounding support during this uncertain time. As we provide transportation and transportation services, we’ve received designation as an “essential Business” from Empire State Development, allowing us to remain open, but in an abbreviated way. We’re grateful for the designation, but acknowledge this precarious situation – so in response, we are changing our policies with both our staff and community’s well-being in mind first and foremost. If you have transportation related bicycle needs, we especially remain here for you.
Appointments are not necessary, upon arriving call the store at 315-446-6816 to see if social distancing standards require a short few minutes or if you can come right in.
Home Delivery and Contactless Curbside Service
For everyone’s safety we encourage you to take advantage of these services. We haven’t needed to do a whole lot of deliveries in the past, but the times are a changin’ and demand has increased exponentially. We have been inundated with requests (THANK YOU!) and couldn’t be happier to have the opportunity to offer these services.
We have a giant new van complete with back-up camera and bluetooth capability ready to rip. In regard to curbside service, we’ve mastered the skill of bringing things outside and bringing things inside. Lastly, we’re communication ninjas. Limitations On Customers In The Store
We’re limiting entry into the store. Please understand that this is a necessary precaution to keep our staff safe, healthy, and comfortable while still best accommodating your needs. Below are recommendations to help us reduce foot traffic and make this an easy transition.
Pay for your bicycle repair over the phone. Once your repair is paid, we will happily bring your bike out to your car for a curbside pickup.
Please allow our staff space. We are mandating our staff keep a safe distance from customers throughout all interactions. Please respect the recommended six foot rule and help us all feel comfortable while we interact.
While we eagerly await the rapidly approaching launch date of our own online store at syracusebicycle.com, you can still support us by shopping online at trekbikes.com and choosing Syracuse Bicycle at checkout. Not only will you be supporting your local shop but parts, accessories and apparel will be delivered to your doorstep. Bike purchases will be delivered to us, built, safety checked, disinfected and delivered directly to you.
Protecting Our Staff And Customers
The wellbeing of both our staff and community is paramount. In order to ensure it, we have enacted the following procedures…
1. We are taking special precautions to disinfect / sanitize all surfaces and common touch points thoroughly and consistently including computers, phones, workspaces, and bikes. As much as possible please refrain from touching product. Our staff is happy to assist you.
2. Contact points of both new bicycles and bicycles in for service will be sanitized at arrival and departure.
3. We are requiring customers to keep hands in pockets or wear provided sterile nitrile gloves when handling products.
4. We are no longer booking bicycle fittings / sizings.
5. Mandating that all staff customer interactions respect the 6 foot rule at a minimum.
6. Any staff members exhibiting flu or cold symptoms will be required to stay home.
Reductions In Staff
Please understand that we are working with reduced staffing and our new procedures are more time-consuming. We are proud to offer the services we are able, but things may take a bit longer than usual. We appreciate your understanding.
We’re happy to accommodate your needs. We’re here to keep you rolling, healthy, sane, and social distancing. We’ll be here as long as we are able. Again, thank you for your support.
