2019 marks Syracuse Bicycle’s 11th year participating in the CNY American Diabetes Association’s Tour de Cure and has a history of being the 1st PLACE FUNDRAISING TEAM six times in the past ten years!
Our team is making a difference in the lives of those affected by diabetes AND having fun in the process. Join our team and ride with us on Sunday, July 21st at Oneida Shores Park.
Our team is comprised of riders of all levels, ages, and abilities. The only prerequisite is a can-do attitude and a minimum fundraising goal of $200. We will help guide you along the way with your fundraising and training for the ride options of 10, 31, 65, or 100 miles OR a 5K run/ walk. Want to make a difference, but can’t make the ride? You can also join our team as a virtual participant!

We are determined to reach our team goal of raising $35,000, one rider at a time.
Register now for the Tour on July 21st, 2019 as a member of the Syracuse Bicycle Team and receive:
-A 10% shop discount until Tour day (excludes labor, valid on only 1 bike purchase)
-Our shop jerseys at a discounted price of $55 dollars for all registered participants. If you fund-raise over $1,000 we will refund you!
-Team-only maintenance and repair clinics at the shop
-Team-only breakfasts at the shop
–Lunch on us at our Tour de Cure cookout on SATURDAY, JUNE 8TH
-Our own party tent on Tour day for all riders to relax and recuperate before and after the ride with food and beverage
2019 Tour de Cure Training Rides
Hosted by Syracuse Bicycle and the Onondaga Cycling Club (OCC).

Experienced and beginner riders alike are encouraged to take up the challenge of cycling 10-, 31-, 65-, or 100-miles in the 2019 CNY Tour de Cure. Syracuse Bicycle is ready to help you with the right training with a series of group rides every week beginning Mid-June. We’ll provide you with the confidence you need to easily complete the Tour de Cure, improving your health and fitness along the way.
Beginner rides of 10, 15, 19, 23, and 29 miles will be offered each week with the Onondaga Cycling Club. They are designed to introduce new riders to NYS Bicycling Law, group riding skills, and safe/efficient operation of their bicycle.
Training rides open to ANYONE! First training ride is FREE with the OCC, then riders must pay for a membership that is valid for the calendar year ($25- individual, $35- family, $5- junior). The OCC hosts group rides of various experience/ ability levels nearly every day of the week. You can get even more group training in with the OCC!
*BYOB – Bring your own bicycle and wear comfortable cycling clothes. Helmets and waiver signature required.
