Breast Cancer Awareness Ride
THANK YOU FOR MAKING US THE LARGEST RIDE IN THE COUNTRY ONCE AGAIN!
We held our 3rd Annual Breast Cancer Awareness Ride on Saturday, October 8th, 2011 at Green Lake State Park. We had over 400 riders this year, making our ride the largest in the country for the second year in a row out of the over 200 scheduled rides. Each rider received a goody bag, opportunity to win great door prizes, and enjoyed a post-ride party with live music and food courtesy of Angotti’s Family Restaurant!
Check out photos from the event on our Facebook page!
Hosted by Trek Women and Syracuse Bicycle, the BCAR aims to raise awareness for breast cancer prevention, screening, and treatment by joining forces with women and men of all ages and abilities to ride on the same day, at the same time, all over the country.
Look for registration for our 2012 event in mid-July. The 2012 ride will take place on Saturday, October 6, 2012. The ride offers a 25-mile route on the scenic, flat roads north of Green Lakes State Park in Fayetteville and a 10-mile family friendly route on the Erie Canal path. Fees for each are $25 and all proceeds will go to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
