Our Service team is staffed by professional mechanics, trained and certified to work on all brands and types of bicycles. Whether it’s a tube change, minor tune-up or a major overhaul, you can count on us to guarantee your satisfaction.
Your bike is a mechanical object and as such needs regular maintenance and occasional repair. Preventive maintenance is the best way to get a lifetime of enjoyable miles from your bike, but even the most conscientious of us can have things go wrong when we least expect it.
When your bike needs repair, you usually need to leave it with us for 2 to 3 days. If you have an emergency (like you’re leaving for the trip tomorrow and you just broke a spoke today) we will do everything possible to accommodate you immediately.
If you have a simple repair such as a flat tire or cable adjustment we may well be able to help you while you wait. Calling ahead is always a good idea, but we understand that’s not always possible. We will always try to fit your bike repair into your schedule, and it’s always worth asking us about quick turn-around-times.
Estimates Are Always Free
When you bring your bike in for repair or maintenance we always start with a free, no-obligation estimate of the work that will be needed. A mechanic will put the bike in a bike stand and the two of you will go through the bike to determine what work is necessary.
If you proceed with the repair, you will receive a repair estimate and a pick-up date for the bike. If additional parts or labor are needed to complete the repair you will be notified ahead of time.
New Bicycle Tune-Ups
If you purchased your new bicycle from Syracuse Bicycle first of all thank you very much. Along with the bicycle you received a free 90 day Warranty Check-Up for the bike. The Warranty Check-Up includes keeping gear and brake cables adjusted correctly, keeping the chain lubed, tires pumped to optimal pressure, wheels true and bearings properly tensioned.
Your new bike will go through an initial break-in period which will occur usually within the first 30 - 90 days or 100 miles of riding. It is extremely important to bring your new bike in at least for this first tune-up so that cables can be tightened and bearing assemblies re-tensioned.
It is best to make an appointment for your Warranty Check-Up.
