Choose SB for Your Service Needs

ToolBox copyBecause here at Syracuse Bicycle, service is just as important as sales.

That’s right. We don’t just build bikes for the sales floor or fix an occasional flat. Service is an intricate part of what we do. The fact is we service more bikes than any shop in town, and we’ve been doing so longer than any shop in town.

And not only do we work on the bikes that you love, but we also work on the bikes that you may have even forgotten to love. Did you ride your bike all winter and forget to lube the chain? Did you leave your bike in the basement for the last few years? Hey, it happens, and we don’t judge. We know you just want to get back out on the road or trail on a smooth riding machine! And if that’s the case, you’ve come to the right place.

Our service staff is professionally trained and certified to work on all makes and models of bicycles, and not just the brands that we sell. Given the number of bikes that come through our doors, there aren’t many brands – or repairs – we haven’t already seen. We are just as comfortable performing an overhaul on a 1957 Sturmey-Archer 3 speed hub as we are cutting and splicing Di2 cables so that a bike that was never intended to have Shimano Di2 electronic shifting can join the electronic age with you and your iPhone.

Sure, almost any shop can tune up a new bike or tell you when your chain is worn. But when you need to quiet that impossible to find squeak or figure out why your chain falls off when climbing those big hills, you want to work with experts. Friendly, passionate, and adept at solving even the most difficult of these maintenance riddles, our mechanics have been wrenching a long time – some even on the race circuit – and there isn’t much they haven’t seen nor solved. Plus, your bike is always maintained, tuned, and fixed (or loved and rubbed) to their notoriously high standards, a standard where “good enough” is never good enough.

So whether it’s simply changing out a tube, a basic tune up, or open-heart surgery on your drivetrain, you can count on us to do the job right, every time. Our service department works on a first come first serve basis, but we do take appointments and even offer a rush service (see below for details). We also offer free estimates, service all bikes, and provide a 30-day guarantee on all repairs (excluding flat tire repairs). Any new bike purchased from Syracuse Bicycle includes free adjustments for one year and a free tune-up within 90 days of purchase. Pretty sweet, right? We knew you’d agree.
